Employment and Training provides education, training and employment services for adults and youths, through the "One Stop" Missouri Career Centers located in each county. Services available at the Missouri Career Centers include:

 

·              Education and training information

·              Labor market information

·              Career assistance

·              Internet access for job listings

·              Telephone, fax and copy machines for job search

·              Resume preparation

·              Unemployment insurance information

·              Financial aid assistance

·              and other resources

 

 

CAP / WIA

...........EMAA administers a contract through the Workforce Investment Board of Southeast Missouri - to conduct Employment Related Case Management services for Temporary Assistance recipients. Under this project EMAA will provide pre-employment and employment assistance, schooling, and/or training, as well case management services, for Temporary Assistance families moving from welfare to work. The same contract provides for non-custodial parents, who must be referred by the Missouri Department of Social Services, to receive Case Management services focusing on employment to enable the non-custodial parent to meet their child support obligations.

 

 Ticket to Work

          EMAA is part of the employer network for the Ticket To Work program. This program is funded by the Social Security Administration and is a voluntary program intended to allow individuals receiving SSI disability benefits to redeem their “ticket” to obtain vocational rehabilitation, employment, or other support services from an approved provider of their choice.
